And if these guys are claiming that the shares will go up in value in the future, then they are being dishonest - unless they really do have a crystal ball. Besides, the more people who join, the less each member's share will be worth. So, the more successful it becomes, the less you will 'own'. Sadly, for every FaceBook, MySpace, or Twitter, there are thousands of other social networking ‘next big things’ that come to nothing.
